The Apache MyFaces Portlet Bridge team is pleased to announce the
release of Apache MyFaces Portlet Bridge 3.0.0-alpha. This is the first
release of the MyFaces Portlet Bridge supporting JSF 2.0 (and 2.1).
Besides doing the obvious upgrades to run within the updated JSF 2.0
APIs, the bridge provides enhanced function from the the JSR 329 bridge
(bridge-2.0.0). It supports JSF 2.0 features such as ajax and composite
components.
At the moment this implementation is being provided outside the JSR
process. Because of the delay caused by the work to complete JSR 301
and 329 it was felt that it was better to deliver a functional JSF 2.0
portlet bridge as quickly as possible to the community before looking at
starting a new standards effort.
Use of this version of the bridge is the same as the JSR 329 bridge
(portlet-bridge-2.0.0). In fact, it uses the JSR 329 APIs unchanged.
Apache MyFaces Portlet Bridge 3.0.0-alpha is available in both binary
and source distributions:

Apache MyFaces Portlet Bridge is available in the central Maven
repository under Group ID "org.apache.myfaces.portlet-bridge".
