The measure interface looks very similar to 2.7, nothing is obvious. It seems
like the 'measure' event isn't being
invoked when shift-dragging and you release the mouse. It is in 2.7.

The measureControl is different when scribbling (shift-drag) if you let up on
the drag before
the shift key the measure event doesn't seem to fire.

it seems like you did not copy the theme directory, so a bit of css is
missing?
Yes indeed, the measure interface has changed, please check
examples/measure.html for hints on how to fix that. If you can't get it
to work, please report back.
