Hello, I try to make a scalebar but without success. My scalebar doesn't show the lines.

This is my code.
var scalebar = new OpenLayers.Control.ScaleBar({
div: document.getElementById("kartenElemente"),
displaySystem: 'metric',
divisions: '2',
subdivisions: '4'
});
map.addControl(scalebar);
I use OpenLayers 2.9.
Hope that somebody can help me.
