Hi,
I am a new user to Apache Open Office. I recently did some work in school
through Microsoft Word and I wanted to complete the rest of the work at home on
my MacBook with Open Office. When I try to open the document; it opens with a
blank page which was confusing as I did most of the work.

Is the quick starter running? If so, you'll have to stop it before
installing.
