Open office downloading problems .

To whom it may concerns . I use Mac with Safary OS Mojave Version 10.14.6 I use Apache Open Office 4.The problem is that i download different gmails as follows .Gmail —more—download . Now open office shows it with an ASCii Filter . I don’t know how to open this filter also why do i get that
