In Excel it was easy. I simply specified =COUNTIF(G8:X8;"*c*") and I got the number of cells that contained the letter c
I discovered in LibreOffice it was =COUNTIF(G8:X8;".*c.*") but in Openoffice whatever combination I try doesn't work. Can anyone help??? Many thanks David Eccles
