I am just curious. I had no idea that the Open Office documents were
'zipped' when saved. Does this mean that if I email an Open Office
document (as an attachment) it could not be opened by someone running
Microsoft Word as that program could not unzip the document?

it insisted on entering 5/16. Now I can see where it might enter a
different date format (05/18/16) but to
Open Office 4.1.2 - spreadsheets - hard to make backups. I checked the
backup box in tools\options\load-save\general\always create backup -
However the only way I can create a backup is similar to MS Word. I
have to save the srpeadsheet. Make a minor change (like at a dot at the
bottom)
