When attaching graphics to my manuscript I sometimes receive a fatal error "Bad

When attaching graphics to my manuscript I sometimes receive a fatal error "Bad
Allocation." I've managed to attach most of the graphics by uninstalling then
reinstalling the software but it always returns at some point. What is going on
and how can it be corrected?
