[users] Spellcheck isn't working in OOO3.2.1

 Recently upgraded the suite and today was creating a WP document.  
Despite some obvious errors, the spellchecker didn't alert on them, nor 
find them on a full doc check.  The problem occurs in both .odt and .doc 
files.  I've tried activating spellcheck using the instructions 
contained in the help files, but no luck yet.

OS: Windows XP Pro, SP3
