Dear Sirs,

I'm new to Open Office and not PC literate. Perhaps not suprisingly, I find
the following upgrade instruction incomprehensible and unworkable beyond the
first step. Is there a step-by-step guide of somewhere like MS (spit!) which
will fairly automatically do the necessary? Perhaps Open Office is for
people with know how?!

Installation Information

   - Download the security patch from any download site. It need not be
   one close to you.
   - Go to the OpenOffice.org <http://OpenOffice.org> "program"
directory: .../OpenOffice.org114/program (Mac OS X (X11): The patch
works with OOo 1.1.2 under 10.3 but has not been tested under 10.2.
NeoOffice/J users: The latest release does not need this patch.)
   - Make a backup copy of the affected file and store it somewhere safe:

      - Windows: *sot645mi.dll*
      - Linux: *libsot645li.so*
      - Mac OS X (X11): *libsot645mxp.dylib *
      - Solaris x86: *libsot645si.so*
      - Solaris Sparc: *libsot645ss.so*
   - Copy the library you downloaded to the location of the old one, thus
   replacing it.
   - Test OpenOffice.org <http://OpenOffice.org>. If it works, delete the
backup copy; you do not need it.
