I have a 'weird' problem with using OpenOffice2 (latest download)
I have it on a pc with Windows Me as OS. I can browse the LAN network (just workgroup, not domain), and find the MS Excel files on another pc, but when trying to open the files I just get an error, that the files does not exist..... just doesn't wanna open the file for editing.
I can copy the file to the local pc, work on it in OpenOffice, and Save As it back to it's network location on the other pc.
I just can't open the file directly....
Any idea what the problem could be?
I suspect that the problem might be with the fact that this pc has only got WinMe on it, as I tried doing the same from a WinXp machine and it opens the files over LAN just fine.
Any comments and assistance will be very much appreciated.
