Next sensible move is to do backups of all the files on the media you
get this error message from and do a proper analysis on your file
system. That, however is not OOo related.
Is there any chance that the disk you are trying to save to would be

In our organization there's a Windows 2000 file server. User A opens
an excel file with OOo 2.1 on Windows XP. User B is running Ubuntu
7.04 and OOo 2.2. User B is able to open and modify the while and gets

In this setup the file locking feature works OK. We tested this with
both a .xls file and .ods-file.
Strange that the same function seems to work with samba and not with
Win2k - or is it ? ;-)
