How come you ask about Microsoft Office in an Open Office mailing list?

Those blank pages shouldn't happen to be "left" pages? OO want to make
2-side documents so if you have a page break so the next chapter would
begin on an left page, OO automatically inserts a blank page...

You dont have to turn it off to write a paragraph! It's not a bullet list..
You should just choose the right formatting that is headings when
needed and text body when writing paragraphs...
When you change a piece of text to "heading #" it should continue numbering...

Find one of you headlines (heading 1 for instance)
Choose: Format -> Bullets and numbering -> outline select the one you like...
That should do the trick

I'll try it later, but that seems really troublesome comepared to
implementing a pagestyle that is left only from the beginning.

I do use version 1.9.79 but can I avoid the problem i that version?
It's a real pest when making tech documentation with a lot of page
breaks...

I've created a document with a lot of manual page breaks and reset
page numbers, but when I export to pdf I get blank pages after almost
every page break.
Can I avoid this behaviour?

In this case yes :o)
I have written more tech before but used LaTeX back then. That is just
not an option here since basic users should be able to edit the
document afterwards - besides it a long time ago and it takes more
time getting back in LaTeX mode than just use this brilliant program

I have a special page number, that I wish to include in my table of contents.
It should be chapter numbering (2 levels) and page number, like this:
2.3.12
but how do I use the table of contents to show this information?

Got a new little problem connected to the pagenumbering:
How do I make the same numbering appear in the table of contents?
Can't figure out how to format the table of contents...

Just found out that I should choose "chapter number without seperator"
that does the trick!
My biggest thanks for helping out

Thx a lot, that DO help!
I now need to get the formatting right, so that there is no space
between the "chapter part" (eg. 1.1) and the page number (eg. 44)
As it is now it shows: 1.1 44 instead of 1.1.44

Still haven't found a solution as to get current sectionnumber and
integrate it in a page numbering...
No one here tried that? Or at least know how to access section numbers?
