restarting the computer and all is well now! But I will get the newer
version.

I am using Openoffcie 1.9 125. I have not been able to open any documents sent
to me via email or any of my saved documents. This just occurred to me a few
days ago. Any idea what could be wrong. I have several docukents I need to
