Hello,
I have been asked if I can offer my laptop computer as a backup for
someone who is giving a lecture and using their laptop to do a
projection of slides created in Microsoft Office (2000). My laptop runs
Linux (OpenSuse 10.2) with Open Office amongst other things.
I can convert the client's Microsoft Office Powerpoint Pressentation
into an Open Office Impress document. But Will I be able to hook my
laptop into a digital projector (USB) and play an Impress document out
to the projector?
I also have a Windows machine with MS Office and have tested out the
document conversion and that worked fine, what I don't know is if the
Impress program running on Linux 10.2 will operate the projector?
Any help you can give will be highly valued (the client is a barrister
and I would like to suggest Open Source Software as being mainstream
programming!)
With kindest regards and sparkley-eyed aniticpation.
John Boulton.
