hello Simon, I use MsAccess and have files produced by Access that OoBase SHOULD be able to open. But I cannot get BASE to work either. I think the problem is that BASE requires some form of JAVA file that you need to find and load separately. You might look into that approach. John. -

I didn't have this good experience. Oo2.1 2.1 each installed themselves on my desktop and in ///Documents and Settings///, not in my Programs folder as Iwould have expected, and When I recently downloaded Oo2.1, Oo2.0 remained fully intact, as far as I could tell. John - Original Message

I'm using OpenOffice.Org under Windows XP. I have entered a TEXT function of the form TEXT(number;format) as specified in the onboard help. I have (for example) referenced a value in cell B32 and used a format code from the number format window (FORMATCELLSNUMBERSFORMAT_CODES); for example:
