Hello! I am on an older computer that has Windows 98. I have just published a book and the Editor has sent me the final transcript with corrections that need to be accepted/rejected. In order for me to do this, I will need Microsoft Word, however, this system is not compatible and there is no software for it, unless I spend Four Hundred dollars to first, upgrade with the Windows 2000 CD and then install the Microsoft Word CD. I was on Amazon.com looking for the software when I read a review that stated I could download OpenOffice 1.1. Can I do this, free of charge and still be able to open my manuscript from my Editor to make the changes necessary? I downloaded the final manuscript in zip and see the corrections made, highlighted in blue, but do not see comments highlighted in yellow or the yellow post it notes. So, can I download your 1.1 or 2.0.1 and proceed? Thank you. I have a deadline to complete this, so I hope to hear from you soon.
