I am using excel in Open Office and have created a new data base.  It comes up 
as 'read only', which I do want as I wish to edit the information stored.  
Please inform me* how I can uncheck - preferably on a permanent basis, the read 
only command.

* I would welcome a step by step 'idiots guide' to this.
