Hi,
I'm fairly new to Open Office Writer, so bare with me. I'm hoping this is
just a situation where I do not know the correct terminology.
I remember in Microsoft Word there was a way to leave notes that pointed
to specific lines of text in a document so you can leave comments. One

What would be the best way to split a page into 4 uniform sections? I'm

Thank you very much for helping.

Hi,
Currently I'm opening an ODS file and saving it back as a CSV file.
However, when I save as a CSV file I don't want the open document to
BE the CSV file. In other words, when I go to Save As and save the
document as a CSV, the open document should still be the ODS.
It would be great is the
want. Then go back and close the original file.

You're right. If you didn't change the original, or if you saved your
changes before the save as, you shouldn't have to do that. Sorry.

Hi,
I'm wondering if there's a better way to create two columns in a page. Keep
in mind that I do not want the WHOLE page to be two columns. I only want a
portion of the page to be two columns. So far the best way I can find to
achieve this is by using a table. Is there a better way or not? I
Thanks NoOp,
I wasn't aware of frames (I'm still new to OpenOffice). Thanks for pointing

I did find the frames difficult to move around. They're too flexible in
terms of positioning. I'll give Sections a try. Thanks guys.

Use a frame?
Or a section.
I just gave Sections a try, however I can't figure out how to start typing
text in my second column. I disabled the option to automatically distribute
text evenly between columns. Any help? Thanks.

Hi,
I've been in situations where I insert a new table, and then immediately
under my new table insert another one. Doing this causes no carriage return
to be placed between the two tables. In fact, the tables are so close
together it looks like simply rows were added on to the first new table
the table has been made.

Hi,
When I insert a table inside of a cell of another table and attempt to set

considering the dimensions of the child (nested) tables. Is there a way
