[users] Accept or Reject Changes: sometimes no scroll bar

2006-10-09 Thread Robert Funnell
In a document in which there have been many changes, when I display the 'Accept or Reject Changes' dialogue box it _sometimes_ does not contain a scroll bar. I haven't seen a pattern as to when it does or does not. When this happens, I can scroll up or down the list of changes by clicking in

[users] Writer freezes in big document

2007-08-07 Thread Robert Funnell
I'm editing a biggish (35 pages, 4.3 MB) document, with track changes and show changes. While making changes on p. 25, Writer froze, CPU bound. Killing and restarting led to the same behaviour. That was with version 2.0 under Linux. Then with 2.2 under Windows, exactly the same symptoms. Also

Thanks for the good suggestions. I haven't tried them yet, but what I have done is open the original unedited document and continue with my editing from the paragraphs in question. So far it's working fine. I also tried deleting most of the remainder of the document, and it didn't die as befor

I certainly don't want to compete on size or complexity :-) As you say, it seems to be a combination of conditions, which is helped by moderate size and complexity. I've started a new issue (#80491) and provided the file (by e-mail, not by public attachment). Thanks for your input. On Wed, 8 Au
