Hi all,
I'd like to install the new 3.3.0 on my Linux machines. I am using a Gentoo and
a Puppy, so RPM and DEB are not very useful for me. Where can I find sources
(and, if possible, installing instructions)?
Thanks,
SxN

Hello again,
Following Uwe's comments, I tried again, and this time it worked. I may have
misspelled something, and didn't notice that, I see no other explanation.
I would like to ask another question: is it possible to have in a hyperlink's
caption, in Calc, a formula?
Thanks,
SxN

Hi All,
I am trying to refer a cell in an external document. I tried the following
syntax:
='file:///path/to/doc.ods'#$Sheet1.$E$15
but I end up with
#NAME?
So, what's the right one?
Thanks

Hi Russell,
Using the procedure suggested on the link that you
gave me, I succeeded. I then updated manually my menu
(KDE). I don't have icons for all my menu entries, but
I can live like this.
I tested, it starts, I was able to load old files,
everything looks fine.
Thanks for your help,
SxN
Harold,
I'm afraid we're not talking the same here. My issue
is about installing OpenOffice. I'm not a Java expert,
but it looks like the install is not able to use its
own packed VM, nor the one I emerged for it, and
doesn't let me do anything (the "Back" and "Next"
buttons are grayed out, only "
Hello again,
I tried to install a Java VM, using
emerge virtual/jre
The installation was a success, but OOo stumbles in
the same point, in the same way.
Are there some parameters, maybe, that I can tweak?
Thanks,
SxN

Hi Russel,
Thanks for your reply. I'm trying to install the OOo
binaries. It looks like I don't have Java already in
my system. I tried a
emerge --pretend java
and it is not it.
I would like to have OO 2.4, so I guess that I'll have
to figure out how to install a minimal Java.
