Hi,

I installed Open Office 2.3 and added a Spanish language dictionary, which
seems to be working fine. However, when writing text in Spanish it's
agonizingly slow to individually add common special characters (for example: ¿
é á ó ú ñ) using the special characters menu. The dictionary does not seem
to account for these characters and hence spell check doesn't fix them either.
I have toyed around and seen that I can write a passage without accounting for
special characters and afterwards use the find and replace tool while
highlighting several "e" characters and turn them into "é" characters, then
repeat the process for everything else. I tried to set quick keys for each
special character, but it seems I'm limited to a quick key that pops up the
special characters menu.

I don't expect to find a dictionary that can interpret where a special
character is needed, but would like a quick way while I'm typing to add these
characters.

What is possible/what do you suggest? Thanks
