Meisha: Please respond only to the list, and not to me. If for some reason you can't use a PDF creator (like PDFCreator), and you can't save your document as a .doc file, then I am at a loss for how you're going to create a pdf file from your Works file.

I don't have a good understanding for why PDFCreator wouldn't work for you (to create the pdf file directly from Works). Maybe someone else on the list can offer other suggestions.

they aren't doc files being that I created them as microsoft works. you do

OpenOffice can't read Works files directly. (In fact, per my
understanding, MS Office can't read Works files either.)

One solution is to open up MS Works, open the files that you're
interested in, and then save them as .doc files, which OpenOffice
can read. Then go into OpenOffice, open up the .doc files that you
created, and then export the file as a pdf file (File > Export as
   pdf) from within OpenOffice.

Use Writer to open your .DOC files. Then you can export to PDF. You
can do this with the PDF icon on the tool bar or by clicking on File >
Export as PDF. The File > Export to PDF method will give you more
    control over the output.
