Hello.
I get this message when trying to install Open Office, running
'startup'.
I tried initially with 2.4.1 and then 2.4.0 and get the same problem.
I have registered OpenOffice with my iMac and used it successfully but
cannot get it to run the startup correctly on my new Macbook which i

I have observed the same "Command Timed Out" message since upgrading
to Mac OS X 10.5, running OOo 2.3. Clicking "OK" allows OOo to finish
loading. I've discovered that if I start X11 first, then OOo starts
without the "Command Timed Out" problem.

Hi
I just downloaded the Open Office 2.2 and am hoping someone can help
me resolve this issue. When I first started it up I was asked if I
wanted to use the fonts available on my system. I answered "Yes"
because I thought that was the right thing to do since I DO want to

I was using OpenOffice 2.0.1 and was getting this (or another) problem for the
longest time. OpenOffice used to work for me but then mysteriously stopped (it
would quit during it's startup process).
Since then I've updated my OS and my
