-------- Forwarded Message 1 -------- From: Francine <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: G. Roderick Singleton <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: paste Date: Fri, 28 Oct 2005 17:19:31 -0300 When I highlight, the the cut and copy icons light up both in the bar and in the Edit box. When I put the cursor at the place where I want to paste, all three (cut, copy & paste) are shadowed. When I go to the Edit box, the cut, copy, paste, paste special and select text are all shadowed. Stuck again. Francine -------- Forwarded Message 2 -------- From: G. Since you are on XP, I wonder what user rights you have on your home directory. Try using Windows Explorer to examine C:\Documents and Setting\francine\Application Data\ ,where francine is an example username, for access rights. You may have to enable display of hidden stuff, if I remember correctly. OOo stores data in this directory including temp files so you can see how not being able to write here would present a problem. Sorry to tell you this but our problems are different so I will wait to file my issue. If this is still reproducible after you ensure you can write in your home directory, please consider filing an issue of your own. Here's how: Get yourself registered by doing the following: 1. To file an issue you must register with OOo by clicking the My Pages tab and selecting the Register link http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/Join 2. Fill in your information 3. Reply to the confirmation email that will be sent to the address you provided. 4. Once you have confirmed, go to www.openoffice.org again 5. And click on the "My Pages" tab from which you can file and find issues. Also I would prefer any further communication to take place on the list. There are many XP users there who can help with better info than I can. TTFN from Toronto. -- PLEASE KEEP MESSAGES ON THE LIST.
