do a custom install from the CD/DVD that came with your computer.

I have just downloaded "OOo_2.0.0_MacosxPPC_install.dmg" on my MAC
mini OS 10.4.4. Although it appears to install automatically, and
clicking on the ICON appears to open the software in fact there is
nothing under "FILE". and no way I can proceed.
