Hi there,
You can either insert the drawing object directly into the writer document or
you can export the drawing object to .jpg or what ever format and insert the
same.
Insert - Object - OLE - Drawing - Choose the document.

How about an option to save OODraw files in .jpg, .gif, tiff, or some
