I may have made some error but I sill got the 'Timed Out'caption.

You may also need to install latest X11 although I would just stick with OO.o 3.0

I downloaded OOo 3.0.0 for Mac Intel and it's a great relief to see something on the screen again. Having difficulty though, deleting OOo 2.4 so I get, every now and then,'Timed Out', but I can live with that.

Just drag OO.o 2.4 to the trash. If there is difficulty doing so, restart your computer.
