You are referring to the appearance in Outlook Express. I use Mozilla Thunderbird on Linux via gmane and do not see this.
Sounds as though doing a reply is confusing Lookout also, perhaps because Das used Evolution. Confusing isn't it. But that is one of the things open source software is about - variety and choice.
