and came to the following conclusion:

The anchor doesn't move wherever it likes... it moves to where you put
it. If you move an object outside the paragraph that it was anchored to,
you must be moving it into another paragraph. Remember, a paragraph is
defined by hard carriage returns. You don't need printable characters
