Assuming you're running Windows, there should be an OpenOffice folder
and icons in your Start menu. Do you see them? Did you actually start

Hi Ron,
Looks like you are using Windows. If the program installed correctly,
you should be able to open Writer from your start menu.
Openoffice doesn't add any icon to the desktop.
