I have here about 172 Mb. of templates, partly from MS office and many
other applications.
A Subset of these are templates from most of the Oo applications,
especially Writer and Calc.
That subsection is about 144 Mb. would you like a split .7z archive?

templates.
Is there a correct way to get these templates onto Open Office?

They will need to be opened in Oo, then cleaned up and saved as
.ODT's. In the event that any of these use DDR links or many other types
of Hyperlinks, those will arrive damaged, but usually repairable in Writer.
Sections will have to be completely recreated.

I stick to Word 2003 or earlier ones. Many of the 2007 templates
do not import/open
