When I run "setup" from the OOH680_m17_native_packed-1_en-US.9310 folder, it fails. Clicking on "Details" shows "Adding Required Package..." for all the *openoffice.org-core*" packages followed by "Packages Path: /root/OOH680_m17_native_packed-1_en-US.9310".
"Checking change installation" shows - rpm --query openoffice.org-core02 Returns: 1 package is not installed The "Analyzing system database" section indicates that none of the *core packages have been installed. Trying the run the RPMS (rpm -Uvih *rpm*) gives - /bin/basename is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /bin/cat is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /bin/cp is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /bin/gawk is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /bin/grep is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /bin/ln is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /bin/ls is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /bin/mkdir is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /bin/mv is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /bin/pwd is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /bin/rm is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /bin/sed is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /bin/sort is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /bin/touch is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /usr/bin/cut is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /usr/bin/dirname is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /usr/bin/expr is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /usr/bin/find is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /usr/bin/tail is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /usr/bin/tr is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /usr/bin/wc is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /bin/sh is needed by jre-1.6.0_04-fcs /bin/sh is needed by openoffice.org-core10-2.4.1-9310 libgnomevfs-2.so.0 is needed by openoffice.org-gnome-integration-2.4.1-9310 libgconf-2.so.4 is needed by openoffice.org-gnome-integration-2.4.1-9310 All the /bin and /usr/bin objects are present and in my (root's) PATH. I've managed to install Openoffice.org using a Slackware package from - http://www.linuxpackages.net/pkg_details.php?id=7951 but I'd still like to know what is going wrong with the standard installer. Any suggestions, anyone? -- Mike --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
