If you open a Word document with OpenOffice, it is automatically converted to the OO format, and all you have to do is to save it in this format. But verify if the file is still as you want it. With formulas, macros etc., even tables, you will have somme additional work to do. Good luck. Marc H.

I have Word documents I need to convert to Open Office.  I have never done this before.  Are there instructions somewhere that might make this project easier for me?   Thanks!   Emily
