The simplest way I would suggest is to try the Autoformat option for
the table. If you click on your table you will get the table toolbar
popup. Click on the autoformat icon (looks like a magic wand on
table) and this will let you quickly format the table with predefined
colour combinations for sums,headings, alternating rows etc.
