What does linked to the frame mean? They have to be stored or linked
to somewhere. Does this mean don't use OOo frames for graphics when
the file has to be exported to Word?

I just created my first writer document with a text frame in it. It's 5
pages of text followed by a frame linked to paragraph with four pictures
(jpg) in it.
In OOo/Linux, everything works great. I saved the file in sxw and doc
formats. I
I had to get the doc out the door, so I deleted the graphics from the
doc file. It decreased in size by 1K, so they definitely weren't in there.
Still don't know why.
I still have the sxw file with pictures.

Pictures are compressed to wmf I think in word, so the more pictures there
is, the more likely that the .doc document is smaller than the .sxw, I
think.
