There are typically two methods of dealing with graphics in a document. You can embed them or link them. Embedding increases the file size but the graphics are stored within the document. Linking graphics's means smaller file sizes and that the person viewing the document must be able to 'see' the

OOo 1.1.4 (Mandrake 9.1) - Word 2000 (Win 98SE): I just created my first writer document with a text frame in it. It's 5 pages of text followed by a frame linked to paragraph with four pictures (jpg) in it. In OOo/Linux, everything works great. I saved the file in sxw and doc formats. I
