OOo can read and write most MS formatted files. There are small compatibility issues but these are getting less and less with each release of OOo. Excel macro's are not supported (mainly due to there security issues). OOo has its own macro language. Excel formulas etc are supported. /paul On

Recently purchased the 00.o 1.1.5 version of open office on a disk, I have a dialup modem and tried to download it, but took to much time and I had trouble staying on line. I presently have the Microsoft Pro office 2003 on my PC. I want to install OpenOffice to check it out. Can I have both on
