The MS Word user will have to install the OpenXML plug in from Microsoft as well. Only if they have the latest version of MS word. I actually tried to use this converter on a work machine (win2000 running word 2000 - ver 9) and it was a big fat no go... This all despite M$ commitment to include

This sounds like the document receivers are trying to open your openoffice document with another program such as Micro$oft Word. If they are, you can FILE -> SAVE AS and save the file as a Word document which you can send to them. If this is what is happening, the fault lies with Micro$oft for
