Using 1.1.4 you can do this:
Create a slide with bullet points,
then click on sideshow / effects:
then choose a TEXT effect (say cross fade from left)
then the third icon in the row of four should clear itself
(the one with the musical note and the clock)
click on this to see the 'extras' panel.
