Any idea as to how one would search for any (as opposed to a
specific character) colored (other than the intended) text?
Searching for any text of a specific color is easy but I would like
to find any text that is not black.

Hi Rick,
I'm not sure if you can do that, but if the intent is to check to see if
there is any text that's not black, then set the search for black text
(or automatic if that's what you mean by black), check 'regular
expressions' and type a period in the find box, and in the replace box
enter
