thanks for your email. I seem to have resolved the issue by some twist of fate, I know not which settings I changed that did the trick. Perhaps it was finally reaching a restore point that worked. My other computer does not have open office installed so I was not sure how to unlock it from ther

I am using openoffice.org2.0. It has worked fine for about a year, but recently I cannot open my documents because of the following message, (which I do not know how to repair): Either another instance of openoffice.org is accessing your personal settings or your personal settings are locked.
