deinstallation the settings for the next installation remained intact
- I do not really like this) and downloaded another language version,
first I had the English one, and then the German one. Both
malfunctioned in the same way:

   * Very long time for starting the programme (about 2-3 minutes
     before I could write in the document or do anything else with it)
   * Spell check activation brings my PC to a standstill. Windows (XP)
     does not react to the "shut down" entry, and it takes minutes to
     close the programme

 Yes, I did, it did not work, in no language.

 The version was 2.4. I deinstalled it now and have returned to the
much-hated Microsoft Office version. I am sorry, but that programme
works, and that is what I need.

 So thank you for your efforts, but I think I will not need any more support.
