Yep, it's kernel-level virtualization. One kernel runs multiple
"containers" each of which has their own "ps" and network ports and IP
addresses. It is the same "OS" in that they
OpenVZ, like Virtuozzo, only supports virtualizing linux on linux, or with the
Windows version of Virtuozzo, Windows on Windows.
