afaik el6 and openssh support pkcs#8 for ages.

The 'referred' mount point is the 'gluster server IP' and the VM behaviour
depends on the Gluster Volume availability as discussed before.
Reg#localhost instead of server IP, I havent tried this, but logically it
should work. You may test it. Also there is an option called

Regarding the rebuild VM, Is that any method to reinstall the os on the

This is the same that with a physical machine: it all depends on the

well yeah, it does not generate pkcs#8 by default
but you can easily convert existing keys via openssl:
openssl pkcs8 -topk8 -v2 des3 \
-in test_rsa_key.old -passin 'pass:super secret passphrase' \
-out test_rsa_key -passout 'pass:super secret passphrase'

So where is the vdsmd part configuration information?
DO I have to check vdsm logs or host-deploy logs for this kind of

Better technology.
you are hijacking this thread... but anyway... please refer to the original
question, how to easily convert X.509 certificate to SSH public key. the best
method should avoid using the private key. newer ssh-keygen supports exactly
that.

Hi,
Somehow I ended up with 2 Default clusters on 3.5rc1:
I checked the db but there is only 1 listed:

Hi,
as decided in last sync meeting [1], oVirt 3.5.0 repository has been refreshed
so major changes (and minor) can be tested by community at-large.
The release note page[2] has been updated accordingly, including the list of
the bugs fixed since RC1.

My previous tests were made with local rpm packages released by jenkins
jobs for ita translation from master (tried with both 16/08 and 18/08 no
other successfull jobs for CentOS 6.x after).
Now, to verify if this could influence the problem I actually confirmed to
get the same error and behavior
I had managed to splitbrain my lock files, and then screwed them up trying to
heal them manually.
I wound up backing up my hosted engine disk, destroying the hosted engine
storage volume, recreating the gluster volume and re-running setup to solve the
lock issue, and copying over my hosted
For what it's worth I managed to get the ovirt-engine's public key
from engine.cer using Ruby and turn it into a Puppet fact. Had to
borrow some code from https://github.com/bensie/sshkey
