They must have written it - as we did,
OVA is representation of current hypervisor virtual machine, it contains
OVF which is xml representation of the VM and binary disk files, the files
are the format of the specific hypervisor (Xen, VMWare or KVM).
We currently convert from VMWare and Xen on
I was able to clear out the kill the locks of the files, but i have orphaned
tasks still running, so i am unable to start up the VM. I am trying to clear
out the orphaned tasks using the taskcleaner.sh script. But i do not know
what the task id is.
Thanks

Hello Arik,
Interesting..
I was thinking that, by converting to OVA appliance, we can release our
product as appliance that will work on Xen, VMWare or KVM. Now OVA works
both on Xen and VMWare and both can be interchanged with each other.
Do you mean to say that both Xen and VMWare have
Hello,
I have a small export domain while doing a test.
So I would like to temporarily lower down warning and critical to the
minimum, so that I complete the test and then I re-enable default ones:

Andrea,
I don't want to point any fingers but Mark Greenall faced some issues with
Ovirt 4.06/4.1 linked to equallogic as well.
You may want to search posts in this ML with subject " Ovirt 4.0.6 guests 'Not
Responding' " to see if you find any similarities.
How many storages are you presenting
Hi Yedidyah,
It will be every thing, hosts, hosted engine vm, vms, and storage. I
am fine with the vms and storage.
Dont have access right now but I can get the hosted-engine status in the
morning.

it should be in the vdsm host that you are trying to import from. (you have
the box to select host, the same host)

Thanks Anantha.
That's true only to some
Hello Arik,
Converting to an appliance (OVA) makes the VM portable. Works on
multiple hypervisor. VM migration and interoperability becomes
uncomplicated.

Hi Benjamin,
Unfortunately not.
We intend to make more use of the OVA format soon, we design this these
days.
May I ask what is the motivation in your case to export the VM as OVA?

Arik

Hello Shahar,
Thanks for your response. Only one question I have.
Should the OVA appliance be copied to some folder on oVirt Engine to
work or to EXPORT Domain? I can't get the Import routine to read my
location on my laptop, from where I am accessing Engine.

Please provide some more details.
You want to change the IPs of the hosts? The engine VM?
Looks like a bug...
Under the engine log I can see:
2017-02-12 03:18:03,160-05 INFO
[org.ovirt.engine.core.bll.UpdateVmCommand] (default task-22)
[43c019b6-06b8-4c2f-bb2b-0639ebd17df9] Running command: Upd
ateVmCommand internal: false. Entities affected : ID:
5df59ddd-a70a-405e-b528-f02bdcf0d3c9
It looks like the engine does not recognize engine1 and engine3 hosts as
good hosts for the HE VM migration, can you please check the HE score of
this hosts, before you run the migration?

Hi,
Can you please attach engine and vdsm logs so we can investigate?
