Hi,
I study the snapshot possibillities in ovirt.
I would like to make a cron running every day which:
- retrieve vm list from a specific cluster
- create a new snapshot (without memory) for every vm
- removes oldest snapshot to keep only 5.
I'm wondering what is the best approach to do that?
From personal experience, if you want it in the same Cluster as other servers,
it needs to be on the same mgmt network. If you put it in it’s own cluster, it
can have it’s own mgmt network. The engine needs IP connectivity, obviously.
I have a DC running with 3 clusters, 2 in the same

It has to be implemented first in QEMU - where it is still being worked on.

Dear Listmembers,
Somebody know when will be available the CBT (changed block tracking) feature
in ovirt/rhev?
We looking for an usable backup solution for our ovirt guests, but I've see,
there are some API limitation yet.

Hi,
today I tested vmware ova import for first time but unfortunately it
failed. (btw. it would be great to have a possibility to upload ova
directly from manager...)
problem seems to be this (vdsm/import log)
...
libguestfs: trace: v2v: inspect_get_type = "linux"
Your suggestion solved the problem.
In the UI relative flag still missing, but now VMs are using gfapi.

You are welcome.
I'm happy you can replicate the problem.
Infact the problem is the name "default" used for the bridge any other
name works (i can't test all the names :) )

Hello,
in site1 I have 2 oVirt hosts with ovirtmgmt configured on vlan167.
Now I want to add a server that is in site2 where this vlan doesn't arrive.
I have here a vlan 169 that does routing with the vlan 167 of site1.
Can I add the host into the same cluster or the only way is to "transport"

Quack,
In short, it did work out well and I had to rollback because of a nasty
bug. A few mails were lost, mostly automated, sorry about this.
There is a bug in the LMTP communications between Postfix and Mailman 3,
which probably lies in the LMTP library (aiosmtpd) used by MM3. They
