Hi, I upgraded an oVirt installation a month ago to the latest 3.6.7.
Before it was 3.6.0 if I remember correctly.
Everything went fine so far for a month or so.
A couple of days ago the the default gateway got

Hi, has far as I understand when using block storage disk images are
just logical volumes. So what happens when I snapshot a VM? a new LV is
created or what? I tried to poke around in my test env without success.

Hi, is there a way to:
1) Define spice proxy as cluster level
2) Disable it by default and only enable it when needed
The reason behind this is that I want users to connect to vdi machines
directly when they are in the office and only enable proxy manually when
they try to access from outside

Hi, I tried this script https://github.com/wefixit-AT/oVirtBackup
which basically does:
Snapshot a vm
clone the snapshot
delete the snapshot
export the clone to export domain
delete the clone
It worked fine for 4 vms then exited with error:

appliance provisioned a 10GB virtual disk, even if the LUN is 100GB. How
can I extend the vm disk? From the gui it doesn't seem to be possible
(VM is not managed by the engine).

I copied
images and master from the source export domain and "merged" on the
destination export domain.
Then the vms were imported just fine...

If engine does not know the password, it cannot delegate it to virtual machine.

I know this had been discussed before but I really don't understand if
there is a workaround..
I reinstalled from scratch 3 times and every time the engine logs tell
me that I should import the HE storage domain.
The datacenter is up and running (I added another storage domain for
vms) but when
I'm using the latest RC: 3.6.0.2-1 on the engine and

Will the fix be in the final 3.6? Existing HE storage domain will be

Hi, I tried to migrate to ovirt-engine-extension-aaa-ldap from
engine-manage-domains. Everything seems to work fine so far except the
automatic join to domain during sysprep.
Is it supposed to work? Where should I investigate further?
