You meant this:

Seems like overkill for so simple task. If bash scripts works, its OK for now.

I did everything as user postgres, otherwise it doesn’t work at all.

Hi !
What is optimal setting for oVirt KVM guests for database hosting on Xeon
server (2 x Xeon 4-core each) (in my case this is Firebird based
accounting/stock control system with several clients active)?
1st of course its preallocated disk image.
VirtO-SCSI enabled
Migration disabled.
Balloni
hese options allow minimise disk access activity.

Is it safe to turn on these options (noatime, nodiratime) in oVirt node fstab
for these mount points?

Hi !
I’m installing node software on clean install of Centos 7 (not with node DVD).
Installation from 4.2 engine fails with error message, however, there no
description what exactly error prevented installation.

Hi !
I upgraded host engine (separate appliance, not hosted) 4.18 -> 4.2, and now on
every restart node01 (right now only 1 node connected) have
"ifconfig-ovirtmgmt” wiped out.
Node was installed on CentOS. Network was configured manually.
Node 4.18 -> 4.2 upgrade from host engine didn’t worked
Hi !
I would like to warn all who try to use engine-setup via MacOS X SSH terminal.
It throws a lot of errors and fails (seems to relate to differently named UTF8
locales).

Hi,
I have oVirt node running on internal network, address range 192.168.0.x, and
need to install virtualized server on DMZ zone 192.168.1.x.
Server has several NICs.
DMZ NIC will be connected directly to router with firewall.
What is the best solution ?
1) Undefine one NIC on CentOS host / nod

Hi,
Here is with —verbose option.
Please note this is draft test all-in-one system (everyhting on one PC, not
self-hosted engine).
Although it is not recommended, somehow it works.
[root@vm-hostengine vmhosts]# engine-iso-uploader --verbose --ssh-user=root
--iso-domain=iso upload KNOPPIX_V8.
Hi,
Just got test setup of oVirt 4.1 running.
Seem to be really brilliant piece of software.
1) Defined local storage domain.
Create virtual disk - thin provisioning makes RAW images by default instead of
QCOW2.
It preallocated all space in advance.
