you don't have to reconfigure engine to create iscsi pool. you can create multiple pools, the only limitation is that you will need a host for the each of the DCs. but you can move one host from one DC to another... so if you have 2 hosts just create a new DC and move one of the hosts there.

I am not sure direct lun will be supported for an NFS pool... can you try the same from iscsi pool? is this lun being used somewhere else or did you create a new one? you can run vdsClient -s 0 getDeviceList to see the list of the available luns and if the status is free or not. (it should also
