Today, I **finally** attempted to do the upgrade.
Initially, I had the following message when running 'apt-get upgrade' --

Since my Samba | SOGo | OpenChange server is on VMware, I created a
"snapshot" for recovery in case the upgrade failed, and I "tested" the
upgrade process with 'apt-get install --s' prior to actually trying it.
No errors were indicated during the "simulated" upgrade. Not so with
the actual attempt.

I am unsure what the subprocess post-installation script is attempting
to do. However, on the basis of that failure, the 'samba' and 'winbind'
packages, and everything that depends on them, fails.
Does this have to do with the 'sql-update' script? Does it require a
"cleanup" first?
Is a package missing? Here are the packages currently installed for
'samba' etc.
